We're scared and scarred. Some players look like shells of themselves last season or perhaps have reverted to type. Other players are just out right struggling and we dont have the options to change it. I mean hef has had this problem for a while and the answer is to rest it? Get real, he's had months to have surgery and come back, should have done what wells has done. You also have to question this mounie injury. One, why did he play on when it happened? And two, what is the actual problem? Palmer too, he's had the same injury twice in the space of a few months, you should know there and then something needs sorting, not going on Twitter saying with gods help you'll be back stronger.

Hope Mounie and Palmer are back toot sweet. On todays performance, can't be soon enough! Two games coming up we won't get awt from, but the two after, we simply have to pick up something! Stop knobbing about with it at the back. None of you are good enough for all that caper. That first goal today had an inevitability about it. Not just the keeper, but the whole defence to a man were shocking and culpable. I look at this season, the same as I did our first in Championship. Survival, and nothing more. Burnley, Swansea, and now even Palace have picked up points v top six, but that performance today will bring nothing for us if repeated against them. Ask Stoke......and they are probably better than us too.
Now I'm off to read the Leeds and Wednesday fans forums, just to get a bit of perspective !!!

my JGB
we were bloody awful, where has our early season swagger gone. We rarely threatend, we look edgey we're scared to be individualistic and we appear to have no plan B.
Our going backwards has for a couple of seasons now, always at some point was going to end up in tears and today we gifted them a lead from fannying around. The 2nd at the other end looked soft despite Mooys attempted tackle.
I'm of the opinion Hogg's style that worked so well at Champ level isnt sufficient for this improved league, you have to have so much more in your locker offensively and a trick or two, give n go wont cut it nor will silly bookings for sything down his man today . Billing is just too up or down so Mooy and Williams have to find a partnership when and if Palmer returns will be a useful 3.
What was the subbing of Malone replaced by Lowe all about at 80 mins, surely we go 3 at the back and chuck on Sabiri do something postiive Herr Wagner. Smith tried to get forward but 2-3 poor deliveries, beast up front tried his best but often home alone up there Kachunga did come into the game late about time 7 games too late.
So not a great day at the asylum all round. Credit to the 2000 almost that travelled hundreds by train many staying over had that rowdy alcohol fuelled feel to preceedings , we went quiet after the soft 2nd but found our voices of sorts again right to the end. I didnt clap them off I didnt think any of them earned that response the manager neither, they need a team meeting to see where they went wrong why we just cant seem to attack and threaten, cut out the mistakes. We'll probably beat the Mancs next week!

Can't understand the negativity of Town fans. It's like they don't trust that David Wagner will get it right. This time last season we lost at home to Wendy and got pumped down at Fulham.
We have off days. We always will. We'll even have an off month. But trust in Wagner. We will get it right.

Ince missed another sitter from under the bar in the first half. Why he always has to go for the top of the net when it's as easy to push it in the bottom corner I don't know? Apart from that then next two chances we set up were gifts for them. That's 4 or 5 in the last two games. Swansea didn't have to do much after that because they knew we wouldn't score once let alone twice the way we were playing.

Snoots. Remember when Wagner first arrived. His defence was Steer in goal, Smith, Hudson, Lynch, Davidson. He tried to make them play out from the back. They simply weren't up to it. So he brought players in who could. Problem is, we are now premier league, and those that were able to play this way in the Championship are not able to do it here in the PL. Even with a new CB and Keeper. It has to be toned down. And yes, I do trust Wagner to get the best out of what he's got eventually, but he really didn't yesterday in a big way. And if anybody accuses that opinion as "negativity" then so be it. Sticking our heads in the sand is far worse than simple honesty. I call a spade, a spade and always will.

Nah not you, JASOG. The mind numbing shite one reads on Twitter really makes one roll one's eyes.

After a day to digest it, we basically have the same teething problems we had in Wagners first season like JASOG mentioned correctly. We'll learn. I'm not overly concerned with the defence, it's wide areas. We have four players (excluding Malone) who either can't cross or have not been performing when putting in set-piece deliveries. It is almost indispensable to the way we played last season. We just needed a striker who could head a ball (sorry Nakhi) and now we have two who can head well above the average Prem striker, we forget how to. We have to look at bringing in players in Jan, one or two wingers at the least. Sorry VLP & Kach, if you don't step up now, you won't ever. Crunch time for their ability to step up now. I'd even be tempted to drop Tommy if he can't deliver crosses either. I think he'll come good but my word they have to improve. It's only 9 games into the season. I know its easy to panic but relax.

I don't know about you lot but this is what I pretty much expected from the off, the Premier League is a tough nut to crack and even 'poor' teams like Swansea have plenty of quality.
The worrying thing for me is we don't seem to be learning from our mistakes.
West Ham away, yes it could've gone anywhere but in the build up to it we are trying to play the ball out of the defence instead of into touch and re-setting to defend a throwing
Spurs at home, yes they were a class above but 3 of the 4 goals could've been prevented.
Swansea...both goals were gifts. 2/3 players could've cleared that ball away before putting the ball back to Lössl who makes a right hash of it. 2nd Goal Mooy tries to get a tackle in and puts the Swansea man in on goal(just like Spurs 2nd goal)
I'm not calling for the sacking of anyone because I'm realistic but right now we have problems all over the pitch.
Lössl- seems to be having crisis of confidence
Defence- Zanka looks to throw a lazy foot at a pass/clearance half of the time
Midfield- MIA! If people think VLP is the problem they've not been watching. What have Kachunga or Ince done so far this season
Forwards- So short of options that we didn't have a Forward option on the bench on Saturday and we're only missing Mounié.
We have to go back to basics, when under pressure don't always try and play the ball out. Get it upfield, out for a throwing and reset.
Get whoever is playing in the number 10 role to support our Centre Forward.
Pass and move, pass and move..its basic stuff that Swansea did with ease in the first half on Saturday
