A good end remark and I agree wholeheartedly that GRFC should formally have about 5 league titles removed from the record books. Also I believe the majority of Scottish footie fans want to see this action in the name of proper justice to penalise a clear offender 'trying to gain an advantage' and knowingly 'at it'. This view is obviously contrary to what Budge said last night - making it sound like a small number of people who favour this move. It's disappointing to see Budge and Petrie (and others) taking up an intransigent position that has no doubt been dictated by the SFA! Also I'd cite fear of antagonism and intimidation from the usual Rangers' suspects as one factor why no courageous person in said footie authority is not making such a righteous move instead of endorsing the inference that you can 'cheat' in Scottish footie and 'get away with it'!

They should have dealt with it properly back in 2012,the player registrations were undoubtedly invalid and that's what should have been the focus. A 250k fine (still unpaid) for that is ludicrous, but in my opinion the leagues and the SFA were all scared of rangers - financially and personally - so contrived the LNS stitch up instead. I can't possibly see now how there will be another enquiry when the MD of sevco has just been elected onto the SPFL board..... None of that is the fault of other clubs fans.

celtic are by far the biggest victim here, and they have the financial muscle to go for a judicial review. I think its fitting they lead the way on this one.

the problem with allowing ONE club to do it alone is its easy to ignore, with out a ground swell of support from the other teams nothing will happen as it will be written of as not wanted re what budge was saying

Robertson, a 'Rangers man', being elected to the SPFL board at this current debatable period is nothing short of an absolute disgrace and I can see why Peter Lawwell has 'washed his hands' of any SPFL initiative happening. Re Celtic going it alone edgie, all I can say re that position is the fact there are lotsa Hibs fans who are not enamoured with Hibs neutral position re this issue instead of breaking ranks and formally 'calling it as it is' and issuing a club statement!!! Again I believe there is a fear of the antagonism and intimidation that oozes from this poisonous footie club that is now called Rangers FC!!! Thumb down Re the intransigence of the SFA, another logical suspicion is the possibility of a past 'skeleton(s) in the cupboard' that could embarrass the SFA???

Cant see any reason why any club chairman wouldn't call for at least an official review by an independent lawyer.

Get someone from out side Scotland to do it, don't say you are going to strip titles just review the decision

If they are feart then they shouldn't be involved,

As I sad the 5 way agreement gave all versions of rangers a free pass, the SFA and SPFL don't want that officially acknowledged, and it would be interesting to see if that held up in a court

Also I gather there could be a Scottish footie fans' challenge of some sort that could well be pushed through in a legal challenge, the basis of this action being that Scottish footie fans, esp regular ST holders, were clearly duped during the relative questionable title winning period by a 'rigged' set up operated by GRFC and with the footie authorities ignoring it!

SPFL confirms it has no legal power to further discipline rangers over the EBTs.

A shameful episode in Scottish football history, where cheats profited and the corrupt cowards that run our game hid in fear of upsetting the hooligan element of sevco.

That is indeed the whole crux of this matter. The other thing that has angered many footie fans up n down the country is the fact that the general rules of the game have not been consequently enforced/changed regarding borrowing money and acquiring debt to satisfy any club's mistaken aspirations!! So such abuse of proper management of a footie club can easily happen again with unscrupulous operators 'on board'!

I'm hopeing they have just passed the buck to the SFA
and perhaps that's why Lawwell moved their this week

Independent review and a finding of "o yes the punishment was far to lax for the crime, under our rules ....but we cant do anything"
so up to the SFA to grow a pair
