Scottish League Cup group draw 1st round - Hibs drawn in Group D
#21
Hibs top the group after a routine 3-0 win at alloa, and again both the murrays shining, the lithuanian boys get a wee bit of a run out from the bench and all is well in the world. We will see who we get in the draw the morn.

Not so good over at the PBS though. Think cathro will be lucky to see that new stand up and running,No way will they be finishing top 6 under fidel.

Hibs rolling along nicely just now. Hearts grinding to a halt. Everything in the world is good! Stokes to come in and Cathro to stay would keep it that way. Big Grin

That was probably the easiest group that hertz were in too. They were absolutely rank rotten.

You could actually see dunfermline had a formation and a style of play but hertz were all over the shop. Looks to me the players either want rid of cathro or they just don't understand what he is trying to do. Maybe a bit of both.

Anne don't forget most importantly hertz finish 3rd behind a.championship side and even worse a 2nd division team ?

Relegation beckons?? Or are they saving themselves for a serious league campaign? Also can Hearts actually afford to 'ditch' Cathro anyway as I recall he was given a 4 year contract!? Surely money is currently at a 'premium' for HMFC with the club being heavily involved in it's partial stadium development - a curious scenario!

I'm no over fussed about being out I've voiced my opinion on the tournament plenty, however from what Insaw yesterday we'd be as well packing up and head straight to the championship now utter garbage there keepernhad a few good saves but we are shite and will go down under Cathro, I'm at the point where I wish I never renewed.

I can see houston back at hertz before too long. I think he gets on ok with levein ?

Nothing there that couldn't be solved by a good manager and getting shot of harry potter.

I think Peter Houston is at an age where he has quite a 'cushy number' at Falkirk and it's proactive youth development set up. His challenge is to eventually promote the club. IMO Paul Hartley may become the eventual successor to Cathro but he is another manager who seems to thrive when times are good but not so good when a team in his charge loses form.

Fred I get where your coming from we've been there with HFC. Yes it's good for banter between us all when one club is getting nowhere fast.
Everyone slagged us big time under past managers ie Fenlon - Butcher and their signings for us now it's your club that's going through it big time with the signings that's been made its clear for everyone to see its not going well down GORGIE way.

It was point made by craigen on BT SPORT yesterday that how long will the fans back Hmfc with the financial backing their doing week in week out. Also the question was asked how long will Anne Budge allow Harry Potter to stay in charge as Director of Football surely the blames lies at his door also he employed Cathro

Its really levein they need shot of. No self respecting manager will want to work with him sticking his beak in constantly and sending post its to the dugout.

For me hertz could do a lot worse than archibald at thistle. A very good coach, who has done a fantastic job there particularly with their youth set up. If mcinnes had left the sheep he was in the frame to get that job.
