apart from a crazy few minutes in which we gift wrapped and personally delivered 2 goals to blackpool we pretty much bossed the game.
admittedly there are more teeth in a newborn maternity ward than in blackpool's team but its encouraging that Town are now unbeaten in 4 with 3 wins in that spell

the next 2 games ( brighton and Ipswich) are going to be tricky but i think we can get points from them if we keep playing the way we are,Ipswich are flying at the moment though.

although a clean sheet would have been nice in a way i'm glad Pool hit 2 quick goals at the end of the first half, might teach some of the lads that you cant take your foot off the gas in this league ever, the biggest threat the team face now is complacency yes we've done well that past few games but in this league any team can beat any other , Fulham beating Norwich today is a perfect example.

i know its not even christmas yet but Blackpool look doomed already

Really pleasing result and performance despite our 2 minute blip just before half time. The first 15 minutes goal blitz was unexpected and we showed a ruthless streak in putting Blackpool to the sword. Scannell ripped the left back a new arsehole, so much so that he had to be taken off. We seemed to lose our intensity and seemed to take our foot of the gas letting Blackpool back in it with the quick two goal salvo.

I was expecting Blackpool's peckers to be up and was expecting an onslaught from them immediately from the restart but this never materialised and we looked comfortable. Smithies had to make one or two saves, one from the header by Delfueonso and another from a long range effort. Good strike by Butterfield to make it 4-2, we had one or two other good opportunities to extend the lead. One criticism today was at times we just seemed happy to hold possession when it good attacking areas by checking back or going sideways, especially towards the end.I know it's good game management but at times think there are more goals to be had and we just seem happy to slow it down.

Bunn and Scannell were excellent on the wings, Hogg was great in midfield too, hoovering up anything danger. The defence looked solid enough too, Hudson and Lynch excellent.

A win on Tuesday and something from Ipswich and we'll be flying high.

2 months ago if we'd have gone in 3-2 like that we'd have probably lost the game

The thought still entered my head at that point today!

No showing of any of our other chances or how well their keeper played on the FLS. Think we only got the season amount of coverage as the match before, a nil nil draw between Wigan and Brentford.

Interesting league table. Despite being down in 17th we are equidistant in points between top and bottom and also the play offs and relegation.

At 3-0 up I asked Wakey "Why does it just feel so wrong?"

Delighted with the win. A bit worried about the way we conceded their 2 goals (you could see exactly where that free kick was going to go. 2nd time this season our wall has been all wrong. Something to work on in training, Mr Powell.) Definite foul just before their 2nd. Not impressed by ref or liners. Much more comfortable after Butters got the 4th.

Have to remember who we were up against, and not get too carried away. Although 10 points from the last 12 available is pretty good going against anyone!

Much credit due to the Blackpool fans who came in reasonable numbers despite their dismal performances this season and were noisy throughout, despite being behind for virtually the whole game.

Only Town can take a 3-0 lead, totally dominate for 40mins despite going into training mode after going 3 up and somehow come in at half time thinking we're going to chuck it away.

Still a decent result and were it not for the Pool keeper it would been at least 8

I don't know Wakey. Wolves can let 3 in at any time it seems at the moment. Agree with you on their keeper
