That's cos we're honest. Probably too honest for our own good, but that's always been the Huddersfield Town way.
Class, humility and respect. Wink

Watched the highlights. We had more than enough chances to win. I'm not on this everyone's crap rhetoric, we had an off day but we do massively miss Hogg & Kasey/Izzy. Should have had a pen and those Burton players deliberately got Deano sent off. Anti-football and disgraceful behaviour. I don't mind teams parking the bus, that's guna happen but they went beyond. I hope they go down now.

I'll update The Yorkshire League standings sometime tomorrow. I've given my semiconductors and microprocessors the weekend off. Well OK, I left my laptop at home. Shit happens as do brain farts and senior moments, bit like losing to Burton really.

Forgot to mention, after the match we popped into Costa while the traffic shifted. Walking back to the car park we walked past the Hef and a couple of dozen excited kids having their photos taken with him. And despite the defeat, he still had the time and the grace to smile.
What a guy!  Tongue

It cheered me up because I had just seen Nigel Clough get on the bus.

One good thing from this is we know it's the play offs, no last day disappointment at missing out on auto's so at least we aren't going to do a Brighton

As predicted Burton gave us another tough game. They don't have the money to compete at this level so the only way they can get by is to tough it out, get stuck in to the opposition disrupt the game and get in the refs ear and get the crowd frustrated...and that's exactly what they did on Saturday so well done Burton you got the tactics spot on.
Time wasting from the off, surrounding the ref at every opportunity and niggly little fouls. We got sucked in and forgot what we were all about, the crowd became frustrated and instead of supporting the team it all became about barracking the ref.
Having said all of the above it now has to be said we just weren't good enough. Desperately missing Brown/Palmer, Quarner needs a goal because he seems to be lacking confidence,Payne the game bypasses him too much right now and Lolley looks like he's trying to run through a field of mud.
Whitehead...more like dickhead, lucky to get a second yellow card as opposed to a straight red for leading with the elbow.
Still as Jeebers says the top two has gone now and we can get that monkey off our backs and get back to concentrating on securing a well earned play off spot starting on Wednesday against Norwich

With one match left to play, the only question is can Rotherham get a point?

In other slightly beery related news, had a quiet pint or 3 in Halifax yesterday afternoon. Called in to what was for many a year The Royal Oak, became Dirty Dicks but has now been resored to the name I always called it anyway The Royal Oak. Thumb up
The other good news is they removed the pain in the backside set of bench seats in the middle of the floor. The bad news is some vandal has been set loose with a pot of brown paint. I've looked it up on the Dulux Colour charts and it's officially listed as Skid Mark Brown. Must have been inspired by the state of the loos some evenings. Laugh

Why would paint the panels that colour!
Surely a dark brown or white would've been better

They were dark brown or black before - why paint them at all? Bloody idiots.
