Best attendances for Hibs in 43 years!
#21
I think the only point is that the Hibs support is up massively this season, partly due to the Cup win and then the expectation of winning the league and promotion.

The ground will never look full to capacity as we leave one complete stand for away support where in reality this season we will be lucky to see 1000 in it and  not all season ticket holders attend for which we don't count them as present. Many fans bought Season Tickets to help the club financially but are only able to attend a few games a season. I met one of these at the Cup Final who lives in Essex but can only get to perhaps 5 games per year.

If the team keep performing then the fans will keep coming but if they go off the boil especially after xmas when money is tight we will see........ Dodgy

Surely the onus is on our players to realise that fact eh!!! The only proviso is to earn it and fill the stadium and savour the 'atmosphere' by attaining positive results week in and week out! There should be enough motivation to do that!

Most importantly guys Leanne Dempster only said in the news about 2 weeks ago she thinks HFC will be playing in front of sell out crowds before the seasons over.

Hopefully she's right there's something special about playing at a full Easter Rd. if we do the simple things right everything will fall into place and all of us can celebrate winning the championship together.

Maybe I'm wrong but I always felt hibs had the bigger support in Lothian and the borders. Penty of buses run from those areas.

It's a contrary view re attendances!!) since the very first time you appeared on this board with your very first 'jibe' and looking for a reaction! Maybe 'stalking' has not gone out of fashion after all!!! Thumb down

There you go again Tynie , using those naughty sweary words- childish as usual. No biased agenda whatsoever , in fact if you check back, I have,at times been complimentary towards Hibs and will continue to do so when merited. Have you ever complimented Hearts?. Seem to recollect you being a Hibs fan with a biased agenda on 606 and, indeed on here, so don't go there. You don't like me and I don't like you, live with it.

Unfortunately this is a Hibs forum Fred and 0762 is entitled to his views on here.......if I feel anybody is directly trying to wind up a Hibs fan then as they support a different team then I will have to sanction them from posting. This would be a shame as in general I value both your views which in general are fair towards Hibs and just general banter . By all means post what you want on the Hearts board.

Another good attendance last week end against St Mirren, the bottom club in the Championship. The fans are certainly responding by turning up in numbers and as long as it keeps happening on the pitch are likely to do so for a while to come.

Will be interesting to see how we go after xmas when we invariably have a drop in form.....perhaps this side will buck the trend and keep form.   Thumb up
