They will come back at us when/if the sun starts to shine  Cool

I shall look forward to that glorious day with fevered anticipation!

Well, Sri Lanka forced it into a fourth innings which just gave Cook chance to reach the 10,000 runs milestone at last. Well done Captain Cook.

The Roses match is interestingly poised with Yorkshire 7 down in the second innings with a lead of 250. Should win, especially with the more bowler-friendly weather. Hopefully, the forecast rain will hold off long enough for the bowlers to wrap up the job later today or tomorrow.

Lancashire 121-5 @ lunch, need 227 to win, we need 5 more wickets.

It is like we still treat limited overs matches as friendly or warm up games.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

It does seem that way. We do throw quite a few youngsters into T20 and One-Dayers. As long as they learn from their experiences and improve then it's a decent way to 'blood' them. However, the batting lineup still looks to be mis-firing even in the County Championship. Could make for a closer title race than last year.
