What was the deal with the tampered ball by the way?

From what I hear this ref was a model of fairness and competence compared to the guy who officiated tonight's game between Falkirk and Hibs with an all-too-obvious mandate to ensure Hibs got the points. Aw ma sides, that's a cracker coming far you, the ref must have forgot a' about his mandate at the blatant push in the box before the penalty was awarded. And how did spot kick gobhorn play last night

Just repeating what I was told by someone at the game. And every match report in the media.

Quote: There had been little to excite the fans from that point until, just before the interval, referee Muir penalised Alston when McGinn attempted to play the ball around the outside of him but then appeared to slip.
The Falkirk players looked astonished as Muir pointed to the spot and, despite stern protests, the penalty stood and was duly knocked home by Cummings.
Muir had to be escorted up the tunnel at the break as both Falkirk players and coaches surrounded him to question his decision.
Oh aye, that sounds like a stone-waller.

How on Earth Livi finished with 11 men is unbelievable.
The ref was terrible. This **** didn't even get booked!!
This happened in the first minute of the game, in plain sight of the referee.
1st minute tackle on Oduwa.

Seems he deserved it.
With a bit of luck, this incident will raise the profile of such deplorable refereeing standards, along with the all-too-keen thug-lust of so many of our lower league opponents.
I await universal condemnation of such behaviour. I shall not be holding my breath in the meantime.

Come on, El Car, you can do better than that. I've been buying lots of papers today looking for those elusive match reports you speak of, but no luck so far. Could you be good enough to perhaps tell me where I can find them, so I can see the lazy journalism for myself?
Re the tackle on Oduwa, it was horrendous and fully deserved a first-minute red card.
Cabbage is still good for you

It's embarrassing and damaging for Scottish football on the whole as this has gained UK-wide coverage, but it's even more sickening that Mark Burchill seems so delighted with the hatchet job his boys carried out because they got away with it.

Should've been a red card nae doubt, but let's no' go overboard wi' the letting Scottish fitba' down shite. Rangers have had their fair share o' thugs on the pitch over the years, black probably being the Most recent and I must've missed the pages o' condemnation on here
