Great. Akinola was good. I thought he'd died or given up the game.
Kyle McFadzean? We'll probably sign him. I don't want him. At any price.
And I won't be asking Salts for a slice of humble pie later.

Seems he's been playing in the Middle East since he left Arsenal. Should be used to the British weather now.

With the rumours about McFadzean, I was beginning to think that the BBCmust have commissioned us to recruit the cast for a remake of Dad`s Army and that maybe we should be thinking of offering our services. Surely, what we need is a defender with pace who is quick on the turn - that`s where we were vulnerable last season - and at 37 I very much doubt whether KM falls into that category. I may be wrong, though. It has been known.
I`m delighted as well about Akinola. I always rated him from the first time I saw him at Oldham a couple of years ago and was amazed that we didn`t seem to make more of an effort to sign him when he left Arsenal. Better late than never, I suppose.

That's 3 of us giving it the thumbs up. We all know what's coming don't we?
Oh well at least his names easier to spell than McFadzean. That's another name that gives me cold shivers.

Maybe we are getting rid of Grimes?
Central Defence McFadzean and Grimes, just in front of them Jones. Mind you no one will even try to run through the middle of them, unless they fancy a trip up to Calow for a series of X-Rays.
