Is this plan B ? Not sure if we have a plan A today

To call that half pitiful would be generous. OK the penalty was never a penalty, but so what, we were awful. I will be more surprised if Ajayi ends the game on the pitch, than if he does not. Hugil would have more effect if he was on the terraces supporting 8 touches, 3 in the opposition half and 2 of those gave the ball away. The players need to learn just because you play a high line does not mean you have to also play Pulis ball. Snograss needs replacing, not because of his mistake but his accumulation of mistakes. I can't think of even one player I can hold up and say well at least they are trying.

This is yet another awful performance, unfortunately nothing new there. Last week's win merely flattered to deceive.
Hugil's inclusion this week just beggars belief. He might have scored last week but let's be honest, he was f#$king dreadful. The fact that he was selected on the back of that performance speaks volumes about Ishmael 's ability (or lack of) to manage/coach any team.

Double change
Finally! Even Clarke passes it straight to them, should be 3-0 Shocking Furlong red card Surely he got some part of the ball That will be rescinded surely

Christ almighty. I stand by my long-held position that VAR is to the overall detriment of football, but days like today test my resolve to the limit. The only small consolation is that the card will be rescinded on appeal and we were heading for defeat anyway. And if the FA have any sense, I think a good long spell of officiating U-14s is in order for the ref and linos in charge of this farce.

Not sure I agree with most of the posts here. We’ve been undone by two shocking decisions from one referee and one from Snodgrass. Performance has been okay, especially second half until the red card. Fulham created very little in the first half too.
Trouble is, we’ve been against the best team in the league and a referee. And we keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

Well I stand by my half time comment with the exception of I will give 'a tried' hard silver star to Townsend. Have to say though that is the worst refereeing display I have seen this season, not just in our games but every game I have seen. The penalty, never in the reign of pigs pudding, the Furlong red, he clearly go the ball first. I am not even sure from a position of bias that was a straight red, I don't think it would get overturned as it was dangerous, but not so sure about a straight red. I think the referee knew he had the Furlong decision wrong and was trying to even things up.

I think I need to go on holiday more often, I was away last week and the match report seemed to suggest we played some football...
Hard to believe after watching our recent performances. Including today's game... Don't get me wrong, the score flattered Fulham. They didn't create much. The penalty and sending off were rubbish referring. It's generally a poor Championship across the board. But that doesn't excuse us for playing no football at all... This tactic of just hoofing it anywhere and then pressing their defence like mad for a mistake can't be the be all and end all, surely. Why are we not working on actually holding the ball up top? Interchange between the front 3? Taking care with our passes rather than treating the ball as a hot potato? Why are we not reverting away from the back 3 even with 10 men? I really don't want to slate Ismael, because he's working with his hands tied. We have signed poorly for years and he hasn't had money to invest. But I'd like to see a Plan B... Now the results are turning sour, it's time to see what else he has in the locker... An alternative plan to break teams down when the bully boy hustle and bustle tactics don't work... Still, at least we get to see us play without the woeful 'kick it anywhere' merchant Darnel Furlong next week. Every cloud eh... Although losing that long throw probably takes away our best attacking asset. That's how low it has got to this season...

Has he been sacked yet?

Furlong's red card will be rescinded I'm sure.
Snodgrass messed up, so that leaves us 1 goal against. We forgot we need to pass it to our strikers if we are to score. We were short in midfield today. Fulham played 5 across the middle, Val needed to keep Molumby in the side and Jake just breaks up play and has forgotten how to play the ball forward. On to the next we go. IMO we certainly don't deserve to be above Fulham or Bournemouth. Can we hang on just incase they slip up? Extra reinforcements needed, if Val doesn't get funds in January what's the point in him being our manager. You can't appoint a manager and give him no money and expect him to work miracles.
