Both correct and added. (Honestly thought it'd be TalkSaft to get Clive Clark, too!)

Yes, Tony Morley and Harry "Popeye" Jones (centre-forward with Preston 1928-1933 and Albion 1933-1943).

It seems to be a weekly comment now but the lack of a clinical striker is really hurting us. Today’s goal came from the hands of Furlong, as in earlier games, and we continue to miss the chances we create from open play. Not sure what the answer is; it almost seems that, regardless of the combination we play up front, chances go begging.

We USED to say, when we had a few consecutive matches creating lots of chances but not taking them, "we're going to HAMMER someone one of these days". Do we doubt it now? It still seems like we're dominating, and making loads of chances and half chances; maybe we WILL come good on Friday and the floodgates WILL open v QPR....?

The striker situation is far from an ideal circumstance to find ourselves in as early as September, but I'm still fairly optimistic about our position overall, and think that when we click back into gear we'll have too much for most teams.
For any anagrammers still on the case, I'll give it twenty-four hours before supplying the three remaining answers. 3 should be straightforward, 7 is a bit more obscure (only made one appearance in goal for us and a couple of dozen for Preston after warming the bench at a big club for years), and 8 was one of our more infuriating flops.
