Completely new twist on holliganism by the Croatia fans!!! Fight amongst yourselves inside the stadium, then throw flares onto the pitch to disrupt your own team who are playing well and winning and see the other team score in the added time because of the flares!!! Certain England fans have done some stupid things in the past but even they haven't done anything like that!!!!
UEFA should throw the book at Croatia, but they won't, they will fine them, suspend their expulsion and hope they go out in the Group stages, just like Russia!!
As regards the French security in this tournament, considering they are on seriously high alert with regards to terrorism, it seems all to easy to get flares and other fireworks into the stadiums!! If a flare can be brought in then could a potential terrorist get some sort of explosive in?? Not got any knowledge of flares but they look big enough for any proper security screening to find surely??

It wasn't just a couple of flares either, was it? 
They could've burned the place down had they better organized themselves 
Seriously though. The French need to sanction themselves, they can't police their streets. They already had mass disruptions to their cities before the Tournament & foreign fans manifested themselves. UEFA needs to sit on a spike.

I feel for France, the emphasis was always going to be on preventing a terrorist attack, something that is very difficult to do with so many "foreigners" swarming into the country but you would think the basic security at the stadiums themselves would be so tight!! I went to a Super Bowl event, not the game, just an event and we had to go through metal detectors and pat downs, yet it seems in France you can walk right in with anything!! Apparently all Croatia fans had to show their passports as they went in, not sure why, but surely at that point searches could have been performed?? Flares are a new thing at football for us, they are clearly dangerous particularly in large crowds but for the Eastern European teams they have been around for a while, so they should have been expecting them.
Ireland have been crap in this game, no end product at all!!! Belgium are full of talented players but they do not function as a team and Hazard is a shadow of the player he was a couple of seasons ago!!

Are the police expecting trouble from the Hungarian fans?? They have a line of riot police in front of their main stand, first time we have seen that!!

Sounds like an amazing atmosphere at the Iceland - Hungary game. They should let these guys automatically qualify for every tournament.

Iceland are the best story at this tournament, they make Northern Ireland look like a giant country. Over 10% of their population is at the game, that's like 5.5m English being there!! Really hope they can follow up their draw in the first game by getting a result today and qualifying!!

Yep, the longer they stay in the better it is for the whole tournament in my opinion. They're there on merit too, with a really good qualifying campaign where Netherlands, Czech Republic and Turkey must have been strong favourites to finish above them. In the end if they hadn't dropped a couple of points in their penultimate game at home to Latvia they'd have won the group.
