If we are even considering players in their upper thirties what do you think of looking at this bloke Wink Wink

You can relax, Vicar. Leicester have signed someone called Macguire from Hull who I can say I've not really heard of. £17 million, apparently. Seems a lot for someone I've not really heard of.
Let us pray. Angel

The Taylor interest cooling is probs down to not agreeing a fee and it'll go to arbitration.

Just for once, could we sign a player without hassling over a relatively small fee in footballing terms. This guy is young with tons of potential but we still fart about even though we desperately need a left back and younger players. Meanwhile we seemingly rush headlong into signing an ageing racist centre half from Chelsea. I give in.

MacGuire is quality. Big strong, and a superb defender. Wish we had him but as usual we hear the same thing Day in day out. I hate these transfer windows. The last 5 years have been painful and boring. Every time we are linked with someone so are Wetsham and Everton. Does my head in, same old boring Albion who won't pay decent money for a decent player but will spend £13m on Chadli and Rondon.

Apparently Iehnacho would cost £17-20m but we are apparently looking at £25m Wilfred Bony..... FFS

Pity he's not a few years older say around 35/36 and then he would be a perfect fit.

Harry Maguire was one of the players I'd have liked to have seen us go for, along with Kamil Grosicki from Hull.

£17m is a risk, as he's still unproven in many ways - but has all the right attributes and is really good on the ball for his size too. Think Pulis could've improved the weak sides of his game and made him real quality.

Big sign of intent from Leicester and they aren't the only ones, Everton are really going for it and the promoted teams are active. Hudderfield have already agreed a £10m fee and they're virgins to the league.

It's funny because we're linked with players like Giroud, Oxlade Chamberlain, Carvalho, Smalling etc, but we just know we will not get them. It's always the same old story. Despite Peace going, the stigma seems the same as ever. I hope I'm wrong and the new owners show their worth, but I think we can expect a couple of has-beens and unproven Championship gambles as usual.

Slick, you have to remember
"Signin' players is very 'ard"  as Pulis would say.
I agree Slick, I believe it will be the same old story we have seen in past Windows and we get the has beens or second raters.
What self respecting classy skilful player would want to join us with Pulis in charge? Certainly not any of the top ones.
