Michael Appleton to succeed Neil Lennon!

Heckingbottom confirmed as Hibs new head coach! Hibs have given him a 3 year deal??? IMO that is a highly questionable period for a guy with his track record and I can see this ending up in another costly compensation payout if it goes "tits up"! No probationary period? I hope Leeann and "the tache" have at least set up some conditional clauses in his contract and that of his assistant, Stockdale.

Good manager. Don't let his Leeds record sully his reputation.

I have to admit to being saddened and a bit pissed off at the way things went with Lennon, but its time to move on now and get behind the new guy. Hopefully he will continue the clubs tradition of attacking, inventive football and bringing young players through.

Time will tell but it sounds like flying "on a wing and a prayer" and if it goes sour the fans will be the ones who suffer.

Aye! I think it is also very convenient for Hibs that there is no AGM to be convened until next November 2019. A lotta Hibs fans like myself have backed the club and put in a fair amount of money into club shares and embracing the continuously rising % of fan ownership that Hibs have preached about for the past few years. This whole Lennongate issue plus the consequent huge financial loss were definitely there to be debated by club officials and the people who they are accountable to incl STF!!

The new manager made it clear in his Hibs TV interview in that his exchanges with the various "departments" will be a 2 way process and that he's looking forward to making changes as required in an effort to improve results.

He gave a good interview - lets hope he hits the ground running with a win at the weekend!

I hope he succeeds and does match up to all the optimistic "talk"! We shall see!

If the whole thing blows up in our faces it will cost the club a fortune to get rid of him. Strange that 3 of our 5 past managers have left the club by " mutual consent " that must have taken a big chunk of the money paid by fans buying into fan ownership.

I must admit that end line definitely "hit a raw nerve"! As a long term shareholder and fan (backing Hibs in "good faith") and, as previously commented, no AGM for months is very convenient for HFC.

0762,
I feel for you and the rest of the shareholders who have put so much into the club financially and have been totally ignored and kept in the quiet over all of the dealings re Lennon,Appleton and now Heckingbottom. I was always under the impression that those who became involved in the fans ownership deal would have their views considered before major decisions were made. I know someone who has invested several thousand pounds in this venture and he, like yourself, won't have a chance to vent his feelings for another 9 months. So much can happen in that time I just hope the new man can improve our performances and give us renewed confidence - on and off the field.
