I wonder if this could be Edwards’ big chance. He had a good pre-season with us playing on the left side of midfield before Barnes came to the club.

Short term I do think it will be Sako.

I think Sako was adopted to cover for Barnes so I would expect him to step in. Edwards must be cover for Sako. He was the pre-season star and has not had a look in since. You know i'm all for letting our youngsters having a run in the team - I've certainly got more faith in them then Darren has? While all teams need experience you have to let kids have a go - Barnes never had to shine the bench he went straight into the first team and TBH i for one had no idea if he was any good or not? Sorry i'm rambling again.

Enormously disappointing but 4 months ago few of us had even heard of Harvey Barnes. WBA is bigger than one player and there are young players out there who can work with, what is still a very good offensive unit within this division. We still have Rodriguez,Phillips, Gayle up front. Barry, Livermore,Dawson,Hegazi and Gibbs aren't going anywhere either. We still have very promising young talents like Harper and Edwards who should soon get the opprtunity to play with the big fixture list. We still have subsantial funds compared with other championship clubs which should help to find and fund a decent replaement for Harvey.


I agree that he will be disappointed to leave a club where he has been so admired for his abilty and played such prominent role, especially if he ends up bring a bit-part player at Leicester. Maybe, if we get promotion, he might fancy a permanent return to us.

I think you are probably right, until DM sees that he is only here for the paycheck, not to mention I still do not think he is fully match fit. If Edward, Harper and crew don't get a chance now they never will.
