Ive got respect for Lambert as Benteke has been out for months with an Achilles injury yet throws him in without any trouble
where as Irvine would be saying "Benteke needs top up sessions blah!blah!blah!.
I seriously believe Villa should be playing a 3-5-2 formation as they have the correct players,

Guzan

Okore Vlaar Senderos

Lowton Cleverley Westwood Sanchez Richardson

Bent Benteke.

I'm honestly NOT AI in disguise, but here's another post that, IMO, has a go at him which is a tad harsh.
Do you REALLY think it's the HC that decides when someone comes back after a long injury, or the highly trained and qualified medical staff??!! Sure there MAY be some chat between them but we're seriously not going to employ these people then not use their expertise.

Spurs, Newcastle and Southampton are their next three so they could conceivably lose all three. I think Vlaar will be off in January and I can see them being right down there come the end of the season.

P*ssed me off as well as I had 1-1 in the prediction league  Laugh

As far as I can see, the last time Villa lost six matches on the trot was 1958.

Still think they'll find a way to jam out of it, but they are in a bad, bad way.

Actually, correction: they had a run of eleven defeats in spring 1963.

Come on Lambert, don't let Joe Mercer hog all the glory, you can make history Smile

Haven't we got the Vile in about 4 matches time! Just our luck, he is back from injury, gets fit while laid off and bags a hat trick against us in their best performance of the season!!!! If their still in the sh** by then, I guarantee we will give them 3 points!! We are the proverbial gift that keeps on giving all year round. On the other hand it would be f****** awesome if we could club the seals and shut the 1982 club up for a while!!!

Tbf, Villa didn't look too bad and Benteke was looking pretty dangerous. The game was there for them to take as Tottenham are looking like one of the worst teams in the prem. Feck knows how they are 8th... Doh

One of their fans on the phone-in last night, trying to win tickets to their next game Laugh

Franksy: Name a club between Aston Villa and Leicester in the alphabet.
Seal: Um... QPR?

Nearly choked on my tea Laugh
