3-2 Alloa in the dying minutes and that would appear to be that.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This team and particularly this defence has played like a bunch of total fannies tonight. No effort, no drive, no skill, no hopers.

Absolutely shocking display 3 ridiculous goals to give away basic defending, but good luck to Alloa i hope they go on and win it now.

Yikes
Scottish Challenge Cup Semi-Final 03/12/2014 : Alloa Athletic 3-2 Rangers
Rangers snatching defeat from the jaws of victory !!! ... from 2-0 up to 2-3 down. Fair play to Alloa Athletic, they played it on the deck for the most part (unlike Rangers) and have their first ever win over Rangers in consequence. Good Luck to Alloa Athletic in the Final. For Rangers, hopefully, the Scottish Challenge Cup will be one cup we will never again be playing for. Match Report : Rangers FC - Alloa 3-2 Rangers Attendance : 2,443 (SSN) Manager's verdict : Rangers FC - Defeat Is A Massive Blow

Will this be McCoist's last game in charge? Does he deserve to stay in charge after this result??

'No' to both questions, SCO.
He needs to go - there's so much wrong with the football the team is playing at times, it's embarrassing, basic fundamentals being completely ignored - but he won't jump, and the board don't seem to want to push him for whatever reason.

I dozed off at about 71 minutes and woke up to a nightmare.
From worse to worser.
The players treated it seriously for about 20 minutes of the 2nd half and that was all. The defence was unbelievably poor at both cutting out crosses and dealing with them when they came in. I feel like Shiels and Templeton have become a jinx and should just be got rid of.
And McCoist has always been quick to talk about what's expected at Rangers and standards etc. His tenure isn't meeting those and if he had any appreciation of that he would walk. I'll caveat that by saying his one saving grace this season has been our progress in the other cups. We've beaten 3 PL sides so far so maybe we'll be alright if we never have to play xxxx Alloa again after this season. |
