Yet another excellent match thread. Comparing this board with DATM is like comparing the Taj Mahal with a Nissen Hut. Keep up the good work. UTT!!

I really don't think the score is a fair reflection. I don't know what else we can do.
Mounie replaced by Quaner

Yeah, there have been positives. Hard to focus on those at the minute though.

Aye, I think it might have been on the last match thread. They had a good natter at the end. I don't think there's much of a resemblance.
Must be a "put it about" father if they didn't know each other.

Not sure what to say other than we clearly don't want to be in this league! I know it was one of the top six, but there was absolutely no desire to do anything more than survive. We have had a good first half to our first season here, but we are now, without a shadow of doubt, the worst team in the league. After Saturday, we have a series of six pointers, and this is where our future will be decided for sure. Hopefully we can rediscover the desire we showed earlier in the season. Deadline day today. Keep your money in your pocket Dean. I think we are so far away, an odd signing won't make much difference I fear. Right, time to go and half fill my glass again. "Mrs JASOG! Open that bottle!"

Yes, we were well beaten by a very good Liverpool team who don't like the opposition to have the ball. And when we did have it, we just gave them it straight back again. But we all know how vunerable Liverpool are when they're two goals up and just as we're about to get some kind of hold on the game and bring on two extra strikers, the bloody ref goes and gives them a penalty. Very similar to the one he rejected for us at the other end a minute earlier when an off balance Collin Quaner is pushed over. Not a penalty, correct decision. So why when one of theirs throws himself to the floor then does he give a penalty? Cos he's xxxx corrupt, that's why. The whole xxxx game of football is corrupt. I xxxx hate it.
![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway, some of our players we can definitely say are not quite up to the level of football league that they now find themselves in. Which is unfortunate. We've come up too soon. Everybody knows that. All we can hope for is for these players, in the wise words of Wagner, to continue to over perform and we get lucky. Swansea got lucky against Liverpool last week. They played very similar to how we did last night and got away with it. We weren't quite so lucky. And it looks like they got away with it against the Arse last night. Let's hope we get lucky on Saturday, which let's be fair, we were when we beat Man Utd at home. And can we now please stop all these calls for Mounie and Depoitre to play together? They are not a classic strike partnership. They are too similar. We need a Nahki Wells/Ian Robins/Marcus Stewart/Jordan Rhodes type player alongside. Could that player be Alexis Pritchard? ![]() |
