The Push for Promotion - Act 2 Season 2015-16

The rest are a waste of time due to the fact that they are injured more than balsa boy !!! lachman we will never know ?

The difference is that we can get promotion with Palmer in the side whereas we cannot get promoted with Lavery in the side.

Palmer was good enough last season & is good enough now. Partly because RB is a less critical position and he is as good as the player who would lose his place.

Lavery has been promising but never been good enough. He has lived off a couple of good sub appearances but looked out of his depth mostly when he has started. Also, it would mean leaving out a good player in FF, Hooper or Joao so we would be badly weakened. At the moment Lavery is playing at his level & although he should get better, I doubt he will ever be in a promotion chasing SBC side. He will no doubt be released in 2016.

I agree that whilst Lavery & Palmer are both decent young players, if we had to keep one it'd be Palmer. He's about the same as Hunt, though imo Hunt has a better ability to turn players inside out and that's about it. There's little point in signing Hunt AND keeping Palmer. I'm sure Hunt's wages are more than Palmers currently so send Hunt back, keep Palmer and let's keep looking for an improvement at RB in the meantime.

Neither Lavery or Palmer's progression is likely to match the pace of our evolution I'd expect Lavery to be released at the end of this campaign. And Palmer I expect to be phased out next season by a replacement.

Natural LW and CB please Santa

I reckon Nuhiu could kill it in the Austrian league now he's had two seasons of real football Wink

If the rumors about CC and Swansea are true (even the BBC are on board!) it would be a disaster if he left. The season would go flat whilst we looked for a replacement and by then it would be too late to get back upto speed. Also January window would not go as 'planned'. Season wasted. Can't see DC allowing it. Anyway, we discovered CC, so Swansea can do one!

Hopefully this CC to Swansea talk is a load of bullshit. CC has just won the power struggle if there was one with Roeder so has free reign here as such. He has a great aura about him and he isn't afraid to manage us like the previous sour faced bunch we had. Hopefully he will stay till the summer.

The problem we have is if he did leave now he may look to take Joao and a few others with him.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

Can't see why CC would want to go to shitty Wales when he's building a legacy in Yorkshire Smile

CC claims to know nothing other than it being a rumour..
