Good luck tonight!! St Mirren played us in a friendly last Saturday and we hammered them 5-0, not sure whether their first team was the one playing but by all accounts they were very poor!! Of course as the relegated team from the Prem last season they should be capable of doing ok but all the talk is about Hibs and Rangers being the teams challenging for the title, this game may give us the first clue if that is going to be the case or whether St Mirren are here to play!!

So it is 2-1 to Rangers at half time ... must do better, we've had a dozen or so goal attempts to St Mirren's one !!!
Only kidding, good play from the lads tonight, my only concern is the occasional passing around in front of our own goal, which can (and has) given needless opportunities to the opposition.

Thompson skies a pen for the St's. lol..... Dean Shiels and Nicky Clark coming on for Jason Holt and Tom Walsh, as Warburton pushes forward

2 subs for saints as well. Gers missing a couple of good chances as well but still 2-1

Templeton on for Mckay who nearly scores with first touch

Sheils scores to make it 3-1 with about 5 mins to go.

Final score Rangers 3-1 St Mirren. . capacity crowd or damn near. good result but should have been more. 3 points though
