Most people can't insure their cars for that.
So much for the £14 Million profit and extra sky money,
However this can only mean one thing,
A massive investment into the squad,.

I read that Villa could be bought very soon. What happened to the Albion sale. I thought due diligence was underway?

If a buyer is looking for a club in the midlands and in the Prem then it's a straight choice between us and Villa. With all due respect, I can imagine that Villa would be a more attractive proposition.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot of money to be made from WBA.

Someone needs to explain to me what would make WBA an attractive propostion.
Smallest fan base of the 4 'big' West Mids clubs.
Smallest stadium
Already one of the best run clubs in the country
Massive risky investment required just to move us up a few places in the Prem
Investors are usually looking for a 'killing' and I just don't see that at the Albion.

Investors are usually looking for a 'killing' and I just don't see that at the Albion. - A play thing for a (very) rich man.
- Access to the Premiership.
- Guaranteed (reasonably) of being part of the Premiership for many years.
- Lower level of investment compared to bigger clubs but playing with the big boys
Example: My company decided it could not justify a box at one of the 'big' clubs to entertain clients and so bought a box at West Brom - no where near as expensive but were still able to entertain clients who wanted to see Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Spurs etc - just that they were playing away instead.

If you truly want to make some money out of a club then ideally you need to buy a club in the Championship, spend some money to get them up and then reap the rewards that way. We have just been bought for 37m, owner has said he want us in the prem in 2 years and if he does that we would suddenly be worth 150m+, thats a nice profit if we can do it.

That's my point. West Brom are run so financialy well that there would be next to no money to be made.
Kudos does not make you richer.
Adding to what St Charles Owl has said, I would imagine Coventry as a better bet to make some real dosh. Use Leicester as a recent example.

Recent results will make parties interested, beat Manchester United, Hammered The Champions Chelsea, drew with Liverpool and would be great to beat Arsenal Sunday. The money would be made in sponsorship deals and shirt sales etc, I think India would be the best investment for Albion. We have been out there recently and done work with kids etc and putting our name about. There was a link somewhere on here whereby they interviewed our biggest fan in India, a kid who knew so much about us.
I would be worried about Chinese or American investors but would welcome it from India. Just my opinion guys.

Would be great to get local Indian support. There are a few regulars, but the recent Immigrants (Afro/Asian/East Europeans) are our future.
