Another set of fixtures down and another good weekend for Town....except in our own game that is
Blackburn 0-1 Brighton, takes Brighton above us
Blackpool 1-1 Leeds, this means Blackpool have to win up and we have to lose all our to finish below them
Brentford 2-2 Millwall, The Lions were 2 goals up and threw it away in the dying moments of the game
Charlton 3-2 Reading, despite Keown saying Reading were safe last Monday they remain below us in the league although they do have a game in hand
Town 0-2 Fulham, bad for Town...great for Fulham
Rotherham 2-3 Wednesday. 2-1 up after 87minutes......lost the plot and the game lucky for us.
Wigan 1-1 Bolton... Last minute equaliser for Wigan which could be vital come the first weekend in May
As it Stands
18 Town 44pts
19 Reading 44pts (1 game in hand)
20 Fulham 43pts
21 Rotherham 40pts
----------
22 Wigan 35pts
23 Millwall 33pts
24 Blackpool 23pts

SSN are saying that we have secured our place in the Championship for another season. I thought this must mean that with other clubs playing each other that that could be true.
Been looking at the remaining fixtures on here and I don't think we are mathematically safe yet. Near enough though.
The aim now, as it has been all season, is to finish above the Dirties.

Not safe yet but looking at a 12point gap it would take a miracle for Millwall to overhaul us now

Interesting how much overlap there is in teams to be played before the end of the season.
I think Derby and Brighton could be our most difficult games to pick up points in, though we'll give Derby a good run for their money if we play like we did at theirs and yesterday against Ipswich. It's the spoilers that we'll struggle against otherwise (namely Blackburn).
Wigan have three matches against them just above them so they can't all get maximum points. I can't see Wigan winning all 3 nor can I see them getting points off Wolves or Brentford either. Having said that they have caused a few upsets away from home this season when least expected to. They can't buy a win at home and I wouldn't be surprised if that run continued to the end of the season.
The others below us all still have games to play where they will take points off each other too. Still not 100% safe, but safer than many below us.

Safety virtually assured now baring a miracle collapse by Town and championship form by Millwall.
The fun may have ended for Town but this week sees some absolute belters at the bottom of the Championship
Tuesday
Millwall v Wigan
Wednesday
Fulham v Rotherham

town would need to lose every game and Millwall win all their remaining games and the swing in goals would have to be 16 which would see town relegated on goal difference

Mid table obscurity secured for at least another season.
It will be interesting to see who and what kind of player we will buy in the close season.
