It has been, so Dancing's feelings were right, and the team's reaction was absolutely right. If they'd folded and lost, we'd be saying fine they can rescind a red card, but we don't get a replay ......... three points down a refereeing / 4th official drain.

Winning despite the exigencies of cruel fate, that's the absolute joy of sport.

If we didn't have a policy of publicly hanging officials out to dry till their bones whiten in the desert wind, we might be able to say to a ref', "I think you got that one wrong." And he might look at it and agree. And maybe we'd all be better if that process could happen.

Equally if refs could make the laws work for the good of a game, they themselves love, then maybe they could stop corners becoming wrestling matches. A penalty when the forward is the victim AND add in a law that if a defender or keeper is the victim then the corner is reversed and taken at the other end of the field. I think then displays of tiny tempers might be considerably reduced.
