My first Town match was in 1985.....a drab 0-0 draw v Norwich City.
I was 18.....before that my mum wouldn't let me go to games unless I was with someone....all my family and friends were Dirty L666s fans....so had to go watch them. Never ever supported them though....
My first ever match was when I was 12 in 1979.....Dirty L666s 1 - 2 Notts Forest. Not bad for a first ever match - seeing the European champions take apart Dirty L666s.

I got dragged along to Bellend Road as well. Hated it. It just felt wrong.

December 19/20th 1984 lost 2-1 to Brighton, so this year I'll have completed a full 30 years as a Town fan!!!

Mid 80's (I think) went over to Valley Parade with Clecky Terrier and was hooked from then on, generally a football supporter but not a team supporter prior to that, so been following them roughly the same as Art

Didn't start going regularly until 75/76. When we arrived in the old 4th div after our slump from 1st div in almost consecutive seasons. Was just curious as to how rubbish we really were. Didn't matter, caught the bug, still got it!

Just a bit of reminising.Back when Pontius was a pilot in the RAF, Town were allocated houses for their players. I remember Bill McGarry & Tommy Cavanagh shared a semi in Marsh. They actually mixed in & lived among the fans.
Don't think modern players would do that. Told you I show my age & yes seen both Glazzard & Metcalf. Also my favourite Ken Taylor

Marcus Stewart used to live round the corner from us and, while he never joined us for a kickabout, he was always friendly enough while walking his dog.
