Well what can you say about that?
It's good to win, but we were absolutely garbage throughout and only started to play with any freedom after we were gifted the goal. What a mess Duane made of it.
So slow and boring, apart from Thomas and Koroma. Once either of those two had the ball, it looked like summat could happen. But dear me, what a poor performance it was.
At one stage, Thomas whipped one in to the box, but nobody was quick enough to get on the end of it. Ten seconds later, the ball has been worked all the way back to our keeper.
If only we could go forward as fast.

Starting with the positives- We won and Nicholls looks a billion times better than our calamity Keeper,
Now on to negatives-- What a dreadful game of football, all this has done is paper over the cracks. Zero shots on target in 96minutes of drab football is simply not good enough against what has to be said were a poor PNE team.
Thomas and Koroma need to be given the ball more and given it in the right places. Ward was bloody useless. Rhodes is looking like our third choice striker right now, i bet he didn't see that coming when he signed the contract.
Carlos or Careless or Clueless...last night it was the latter. He got a win through luck not judgement...his card is well and truly marked by anyone who witnessed that last night. Negative slow boring football, a world away from the way we were told we would play.

The football was rubbish....2 poor teams on show there.
Sorba Thomas is looking like our best player. Koroma good too. Thought O'Brien had a good game.
Holmes added a bit of danger going forward when he came on, even though he really should have scored rather than being gifted the OG. Cracking shot from Thomas that hit the post as well.
Nicholls looked assured. Also thought Sarr had a good game. Passes the ball well out of defense and nearly always gets on crosses into our box.
Rest of back line very poor though. We need Toffolo and Pipa back asap.
Hogg looks a spent force to me. Everything seemed to pass him by last night.
That was just a nervous performance last night. Now that we have the win, we might see a little more from them next game. I'm hoping anyway.

Nicholls has had two easy rides so far. He does look better than Shaggy, but I'm not passing judgement yet on who's best.

He looked very Shaggy'esk when he came for and missed the punch at the edge of the box late in the 2nd half. We were fortunate that dropped to our player and not theirs.
