It will be very interesting to see how Billy Beane approaches football. Having lived in the Bay Area I saw at first hand how he operated at the Oakland Athletics and consequently the fans reactions!! He tends to buy young players cheaply and then sell them on as soon as he can make a profit, that works sometimes but the turnover of players is huge!! With the silly money you see on transfers these days they could make a lot of money if they get it right but the heart of the team will be constantly ripped out year on year.

WTF are the Village travelling all that way ?? FFS, the fixture planners always used to have local derbies round Christmas and New Year. Money talks eh.
