Strong performance. 2 mistakes for there goals I.e giving the ball away so easy. Happy enough with it but should have got a draw at least.
You get what you deserve and the silly mistakes cost us.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

It was always going to be one way traffic, but we defended brilliantly as a team and did a great job on the break!! We should be proud of that performance and it should give us heart for the remainder of the league season!!! I thought Semedo was immense, constantly broke up their play and kept Toure quiet for most of the game!! Kirkland wasn't to blame for the goals and made one great save, he is a very capable deputy!!

I've been out all afternoon and checked the score just before setting off home and nearly fell over! Then I get home and the cn-uts have suckered us. DohDoh

Well there's no way the grunters are going to be able to concentrate on the league is there? So they will still be in the pub league next season. Thumb up

We should be able to take this form into the league, it wasn't a tanking which we were dreading,a last minute winner from a mistake did us.Don't forget the millions Manky City have spent compared to the peanuts we have to play with.
Nothing changes,again.

Well, I'm proper gutted. What a sucker punch. Not much more we could have done about either goals which would make it a bit harder to accept because I could pin the blame on someone.

Sat here with my brother and he celebrated because he has Citeh to win on his acca Doh SOME FlUCKING WEDNESDAY FAN Angry

This game is another reminder of how far we have dropped and how much the gap between the top 5/6 and the rest of us has grown. City can throw on Silva, Nasri and Cliche, we can throw on Rhys flucking McCabe Doh

As the old cliche goes - we can now concentrate on the league.

Nice to be able to watch in HD today and very proud of the lads. Their second goal came from a tired clearance but overall a great showing and we didn't need the distraction of a replay. Hopefully we can take this performance and team spirit into all the remaining league games.

Aside fromactually winning the game that result is probably as good as we could have hoped for!! We led for a large chunk of the game, played well and defended brilliantly as a team without actually parking the bus and being negative!! SG needs some praise for setting us up right, we knew they would have the bulk of the possession, so he set us up to defend as a unit and the use our pace to make great breaks when we did get the ball, and it worked for most of the game!!

So we can take heart that it took them 92 mintes to get ahead of us and we don't have to worry about a replay and the possible beating we may have taken, the money would have been useful but not a game changer for us anyway!! This performance was vindication for SG for playing the first 11 when many were calling for a reserve side to be played!!

Only negative of SG today is bringing off Nuhiu, we had no outlet then and went on to concede 2 goals

sorry, we'd already conceded 1 by the time Nuhiu went off, my argument stands though

Personally I would be more critical of Maguire and Lavery, they didn't do enough to hold up the ball or make the runs like May and Nuhiy did!! Both May and Nuhiu ran their socks off, I hoped the subs would as well!!
