The thing is I don't think we are crap, I think we have one of the best defences in the league and are very good in the build up, its the final ball and the finishing that is letting us down!! Plus the tactics are predictable and don't get changed when they need to be changed, and thats why SG needs to go back to being a coach and a proper manager needs bringing in!!

Well we got 3 points which is the main thing, though it was a disappointing performance to be honest. First half there were a few chances at either end, May should have done better when put through, clipping over the bar, also had a near post header go wide. Drenthe shot tamely at the keeper and McGugan's shot was blocked by the keeper. For them a long range effort went a few yards wide. We then get the pen, seemed the correct decision and McGuire converted clinically. They go straight down field and Eagles shoots wide when he should have squared it. HT 1-0

2nd half they had an early chance saved by Westwood, then we have a good few minutes, McGuire's cross is deflected onto the bar, then from Palmers cross May bullets his header just over. Drenthe then fires just over. Delfanouso then handballs one into our net, after a mistake by Dielna, then Westwoods world class save (the forward really should have scored tbh) after a mistake by Mattock. May is then denied by a quality save by there keeper. They go down to ten men when one of there players goes off injured and they have used all there subs. Lee comes on for Mcgugan as we play ultra safe for the last ten minutes, we didn't seem to want to score the 2nd killer goal. Apart from one or two anxious moment we see out the remaining minutes with Miller seeing red for a 2nd yellow card. FT 1-0

Westwood 8 - Top notch save ensured 3 points
Palmer 5 - Struggled defensively at times
Lees 7 - Did what he had to do
Dielna 6 - Did well though not up against much
Mattock 5 - Not one of his better games
Semedo 6 - Did what he had to do
McGugan 6 - Mixed bag today
Helan 6 - Saw the ball a lot today, but kept cutting inside infuriatingly
Drenthe 6 - Too many fancy flicks today, stick to what your good at
McGuire 6 - Did score the winner but still a mixed bag performance.
May 7 - Works his socks off, should have scored first half, denied by quality save 2nd half

SG 5 - Helan should be LB, not Mattock, went with McGuire up top which surprised many (I don't like Nuhiu but he could have done a better job). Went far too negative the last 10-15 min imo, a 2nd goal finishes them off and then we wouldn't have to endure any anxious last few mins.

We beat the worst team in the league thanks to a penalty, not good enough in some peoples eyes. Just cant see us progressing any further under SG. Could a different manager get more out of these players, maybe, or at least try to be inventive with tactics and formations. I have said this before, we are a mid table team. Investment and a new manager would see us at least challenging for the playoffs.
