Oh dear.....that's really upsetting. I only started looking on this Site when I read of Steve's fight, and his humorous posts have been a credit to his Club. (I now look 3-4 times a day to cheer me up!)
RIP Steve. Here's hoping you have some influence up There, and oversee Wednesday's gradual return to the top.
God Bless.

Never met MS, but always looked forward to his posts and match reports. One of the more level headed when talking about the Owls on here. He must have been so proud of his son with those fundraising efforts and if that money can save a few lives even better. This forum won't quite be the same.

RIP MS.

I too never had the honour of meeting Steve. I can only echo the sentiment that this loss will be felt profoundly throughout many communities. There aren't many level headed, intelligent down to earth people on this planet.
I always looked forward to Steve's match reviews and ratings, it allowed me find to middle ground through my pessimistic, cynical outlook.

Todays game will somewhat be a solemn affair for me. I really hope we take the away win so I can feel like there's some small justice in the universe.

A final 'Barmy Army!' for Steve.

Not sure what to say or how to write this so i hope you dont mind if i do it in Imre style Thumb up

you will be missed by all of us badly Cry you were my calming down pill after a bad saturday and reading your posts gave me hope and saved quite a few laptops Whistle we didnt always agree in the early days and i said quite a few bad things Angel although even then you were calm Angry little things like that made me sit back and change the way i spoke to posters (except peiowl Doh ) and after so many debates, which it always was with you a good debate and not a daft yes/no argument Doh i realised you were just as smart a pundit as me Big Grin

we will miss you and we will remember you Thumb up

I think I may have been the only poster on here who met both Steve and his son and although it was only briefly I can say that I was honored to do so. Very measured and knowledgeable about all things Wednesday and will sadly be missed by all.
Unfortunately the commentary today will be Radio Sheffield but hopefully we can get him the shout out he deserves at the next home game and that the team kick in to gear in his memory.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, you need a team....

I've been off line lately as my hard drive had to be replaced. Now, I feel awful. Banging on about Trump who isn't worth a shit, getting irked with some of you for being silly when my WW was not working, now finding this out. Everythingelse in this past sentence is irrelevant.

Madsteve, I'll miss you terribly. I never met you but I always liked you and held you in high esteem. You contributed to this board with your insights and stats the way nobody else could. You were a great Wednesdayite, I'm absolutely sure a great bloke, and if I may say so, we all loved you. RIP buddy. Angel

I've been struggling for some words to put since I saw the news earlier this morning. Thank you PEI, you've just about said all that I would wish I could have put down on here.

RIP Steve
