Can't argue with you there, he changed the way we looked completely, got a goal and linked up well with midfield and Nuhiu. Putting Nuhiu to one side for the moment, I am excited to see how Joao and Forestieri do as a partnership, Joao is a much better player than when they last played together and I reckon FF can really bring out the best in him. What can you say about Nuhiu, 2 more goals, a poor first half but not real support, give him a partner who causes the defence problems and he shines once again!!! He is earning that extension, thats for sure and if we can offload Fletcher instead I would be ok with him staying.

Defence did ok today, the back three of Lees, Venancio and Pudil look solid. Still lacking a left sided player but with FF back that should probably be reach. Hunt had a decent game until he went off, palmer is a back up at best. Midfield struggled in the first half but did better in the second, but that was because we were able to spread the play by having Joao and Nuhiu up top. Bannan is so much better than Jones or Butterfield, its like night and day. Pelupessy does the simple things very well, nothing flashy but needs to get into the game more like Bannan does.

On the whole as imre said a tale of two very different halves but that second half was about as good as we have seen all season, capped of with a Forestieri free kick!!! Relegation fears over, lets build for next season now and see who we should stick with.

IMRES NO BULLSHIT RATINGS
WILDSMITH....5Had nothing todo all the game and when he did get called into action he missed 2 near post crosses and they scored not good enough and id like to see Dawson given more game time untill Westwood gets back .It also gets me thinking that we cant sell Westwood now either which is a bit of a downer Thumb down

LEES...6His distribution in the first half was awfull but his defending was pretty solid over 90 minutes

Venesa 7Better distribution than lees and defended pretty much the same

PUDIL...8Covered all the back line well in both halves played with passion and would have played with more had he not gone in the book so early on

Summary of the defence is i wouldnt change this back three for nothing at the moment Thumb up

although i would give Dawson a shot untill Westwood comes back

Hunt...8 Ran his bollocks of both halfes and got a few decent crosses in played with determination and power hes like a different player this season my only worry is he always seems to get injured ? and we cant replace him when he does.

BANNAN... 8 MOM Played without a midfield in the first half and when he got one in the second it all payed off for us . fantastic cross for Joao which basically ended the match Thumb up

PELOPESSY...6Was non exsistant in the first half and Bannan had to wake him up at times ! however he did like most have a much better second half and his passing and tackling were nearly perfect Thumb up

i still dont think hes good enough though for the future hes just better than the bench fodder we have at the moment . i believe Van acken would be better suited in this position .

HUTCH...4he got booked after a silly foul early on ending his game basically his passing was mostly backwards and hes still not fit and i doubt if he ever will be Doh

he wont play the next game now thats 100% nailed on which is a bonus as 2 defensive midfielders doesnt work Thumb down

FOX...2 dogshit MOM Utter xxxx rubbish cant take a man on and cant cross he only got 1 ball in the box all the game and it went to a Preston player how hes creaped back into the team only God knows Doh

Reach has to go back to this position now we have other options

PALMER...5His first touch of the ball ended up in the kop Doh

he then decided to play a bit and he actually didnt do a bad job with Joao and Nuhui down the right Thumb up

Summary of the midfield and it was night and day Bannan played well all the game and when Reach dropped deaper to help him out and pelopessy woke up! it was a working fine Hunt provided down one side of the field while on the other fox did nothing
we cannot play with 2 defensive midfielders again it was horrendus the first half and if Preston had concentrated on shooting instead of diving allover the floor Whistle

we could have gone in 3 down easy and as luck would have it Hutchinsons forced substition which was more obvious than CC tactics changed the game Thumb up

GOD....8Scored the first goal when it looked like we wouldnt ever even get a shot on goal battled hard as per usual and scored an absalute belter that Ronaldo couldnt have took better .. seriously it was in Ronaldo esq Thumb up

REACH...6God knows why he started upfront it was a mental tactic when we had 3 strikers on the bench not to mention the boredam we were having in midfield Doh

and he did nothing in the first half and then in the second half he dropped in the middle and was a different player attacking there goal for me he has to go on the flank now weve got bannan back and so many strikers to choose from Thumb up

JOAO...8Ripped the Preston center backs to shreads he is a class above the rest when he wants to be scored a wonder goal of a header and made the difference he was the key today which Bannan was looking for all the first half Thumb up

FESSI...8Like Joao he made an impact as sub and fitted in the 3 pronged attack like it was yesterday although his substitution was again a forced one and he was told to go and play in the middle Whistle

fantastic set piece and Bannan should not be let near them anymore Whistle

I dont see the point in rushing him into another game on monday now we are more aless safe and we would be wise to rest him to the bench for the next for or 5 games at least Thumb up

Summary of the forwards and as a 3 pronged attack its not going to get any better only Hooper can force one of thses 3 out hence we have our team of forwards that will work like ccs first season if played in a 3 pronged attack Whistle

and our wingbacks are not good enough to do anything different at the moment so keep a 4-3-3 for the next few games and lets prove how it works better Thumb up

JOS...5The first half tactics and team were allover the place and it was just as shocking as anything cc had dished out before that ! he may take the credit for the best second half weve seen for along time ! but the fact of the matter is that if Hutch hadnt had got injured and carded then he may have stuck with what we had in the first half ! bannan being subbed was not his plan either why would you put fessi out there in the middle and with the nasty niggling tackles that Preston were giving out Thumb down

Im certain fessi ignored his plan though and he said feff it im going upfront Thumb up

I'll still breathe easier when we get past 50 points though SCO. Second half we looked like the side we've watched in the two previous seasons. I think Palmer did fine when he came on. I don't know what's happened to Nuhiu but he's become a different player. I agree that if it's a choice between Fletch or him (and we don't need both), I'd offload Fletch. And did you get that Maddix? Keep Nuhiu.

My thoughts after only watching the highlights ....

Nuihu .. What a great cross from Hunt , and a cool finish from the big f**ker
Joao ... Bannan dropped it on his crust and that goal was from a striker who is at last realizing what talent he has, great finish ....

Preston.. Hmmm, a little more comedy defending please ... was it Bannan who tried to clear and then stood with his arm up for handball ... play to the whistle would be my advice

Nuihu ... WTF , that was ..well ..F**king spectacular, never would have guessed a Wednesday player would attempt that ..Goal of the season for me just for the cheek of it ..but what a finish, hate to say it , but if he can do that , sign him up !!
Nando .. still think the guy is a xxxx for what he did at Norwich, and if we sell him then I won't cry about it , but if he keeps doing that then I won't be upset if he stays either

Overall, it MIGHT show what these players are capable of ...or it could be another false dawn as for Jos ... rather he stayed than have Old Big Nose !!!!

My blogs on my site odd game never 4-1 scoreline you took your chances, think really you need to play two up front most of the time as Nuhiu was winning most things in the air in the first and you had no one to feed of them.
Results didn't really affect us as Sunderland have a penalty to go 3-1 up. And are now 3-1 up.
