I've been going to watch the Wednesday for over 50 years, through good and bad, mainly bad, and seen some shit but this season has topped the lot.It has so disheartened me that I don't give a xxxx anymore. It's a complete shambles from top to bottom,no direction on or off the pitch.Carlos is out of his depth now and if Chansiri doesn't xxxx him off then I've done till he goes and we get some type of performance from the tosseers.
Bring back Meggo,if only to punch Colin.
Nothing changes,again.

The indignant twat is at it again..

"Asked Carlos Carvalhal about chants from some fans calling for him to go, and whether he would consider his position. “I’m doing my best… if we are not achieving at the moment let’s focus on the reasons… really I don’t think it’s my fault we are not winning games” #SWFC

— Rob Staton (@robstaton) December 23, 2017"

NOT Carlos' fault.. Doh

This takes the cake.

Thought we did ok in the first without being great. Good finish by Wallace although that was about all he did. Bamford missed a sitter for them in an even first half. Unfortunately half-time came and Carlos decides we have done enough attacking for one game sets out to defend for 45 mins Doh .

We were never going to holdout and despite Wildsmith making a good save and then saving a penalty (and yes it was a penalty) Boro equalised thru Howson's 30 yard strike which Wildsmith made a complete hash of. Boro smelled blood and inevitably got there deserved winner when Shotton headed home the winner from a corner after losing his marker.

There was a chant of 'we want Carlos out' from a section of the pop and boos ringed around the ground on the full time whistle.

Wildsmith 5
Palmer 3
Venancio 7
Van Aken 5
Pudil 3

Wallace 5
Jones 3
Hutch 6
Reach 5

Hooper 4
Nuhiu 4

Butterfield 4
Joao 4
Rhodes 5

CC 3

And on it goes. Not my fault says Carlos, we have injuries says Carlos, yes we have injuries but don't other teams. I kinda feel sorry for the players who have to follow this guy's tactics when we actually take the lead in a game.

Be interesting to here SCO's view of the game after travelling thousands if miles to watch THAT!

Bizarre - they must have made that decision ahead of today's result so they must have a firm replacement in mind.

Got to say I thoroughly enjoyed being back at Hillsborough, walking to the ground gets to me like I’m a little kid as I get closer and closer!!!  Went to the shop first and dropped 150 quid on a variety of things including the current home shirt.  First time I have been Hillsborough for 4 years so took my time walking along the front of the Kop taking it all in.  Then the game started.............

Good to see Hutch back, less impressed with Pudil playing and couldn’t believe that Nuhiu was in the starting 11.  Thought we did ok in the first half, they had the better chances but we had enough of the play to deserve the lead just.  Downing took some stick from the Kop after he clearly dived when challenged by Palmer and the ref gave the free kick, it was a sign to come from the ref that he wasn’t going to give us much!!  Second half nowhere near as good, we ran out of ideas and simply played the same moves over and over again with the same end result!!  Nothing  changed until Joao and Rhodes came on and offered more than the lump did all game!!

Wildsmith - 7, thought he had a good game, commanded his area well, his distribution is a notch above Westwood’s and he pulled off some good saves.  I thought the first goal took a deflection but haven’t seen a replay yet.
Palmer - 5, did ok at times but just seems to lose his nerve when he gets in good positions and is too defensive when he gets the ball.
Vernancio - 6, looked ok, didn’t put a foot wrong and his passing was good as well.
Van Acken - 6, I like him, I think he still has a lot to learn but his ball control is excellent and he times his tackles well, still goes missing at times but I would stick him in every week so he can learn.
Pudil - 2, absolutely shite!!!  He is so slow and goes awol all the time, he can’t head and was taken to town multiple times down his wing.  Also seems to have no relationship with Reach.  As we stand today Fox should play but a LB is required!

Hutchinson - 7, our MOM even though he tired in the second half. He was worth the admission alone with some of his tackles and FORWARD passes!!! His run in the second half where he sprinted into space nearly the full length of the pitch to get onto a pass and then ended up with cramp was what we have been missing.
Reach - 5, ok in spells, but not as effective as he has been.
Jones - 5, anonymous for most of the game but maybe thats his role, personally with Hutch back I would have played Butterfield from the start.
Wallace - 3, got the goal but did virtually nothing else, corners and free kicks were crap as usual, waste of a shirt at the moment and should be on the bench.

Hooper - 4, he is a good player, he works hard but he isn’t effective at all. Comes too deep way too often, falls over too easily and for a number of tackles pulled out rather than truly go for the ball. Not impressed with him at all today.
Nuhiu - 2, anonymous, won virtually no headers, his hold up play was poor and he lost the ball so many times. He offers absolutely nothing and thier central defenders had him in their pockets all game, worked hard and ran around but I could have done that while smoking a cigar!!! Sorry, just not good enough!!

Butterfield - 5, did ok but too negative with his passing, did work better with Palmer than Wallace di though.
Joao - 5, should have come on earlier, showed some glimpses of his pace and made some decent runs but not given long enough to have any great effect.
Rhodes - 6, best striker on the day but only played for 10 mins, simply should have started instead of Nuhiu!!

We have some good players but they need better and different coaching. We do not play to the strengths of the squad nor individuals like Rhodes. We are crying out for playing 3 at the back, add either Hutch or Lees to the two today and you have a ball playing defence capable of springing attacks. The two CHs today were ok, put in some great challenges and played well together. They are both young, if we persist with 442 then they should play until Lees is fit, then lets see.

We haven’t got any flair in the team, but I also wonder if Carlos is teaching it out of the players. Hutch was a breath of fresh air today at times, he was playing the ball forward where Bannan, Lee, Jones and Butterfield would have played it back or sideways!!! We need the likes of Forestieri back because he can unlock a defence and offer something no one in the current squad does and he would be the one who puts through the likes of Rhodes and Hooper on goal. But we simply haven’t got that flair in this team!!

But the most glaring thing we are missing is pace. We have absolutely none at all!! We were known as a counter attacking side a couple of years ago, but now we are pedestrian, we are so slow, and when we do attack with any pace the ball still ends up going backwards!!!! If Carlos is staying he needs to get Hunt fit, get Forestieri fit and buy at least 2 wide men with pace, give the strikers some service they can thrive on, not the crap they saw today.

My verdict - Carlos needs to go - but not until we have a replacement and not this close to Xmas.

Still loved being there though, and I will be back for the Burton game and no matter how they are playing or whatever team they put out you couldn’t stop me from attending!!!

I think that this shows DC does care but also has an honorable longer term view than the 'average' fan.
