I was not impressed by that faffing around by the corner flag in the last few minutes, on three occasions, iirc.
A corner is an opportunity to score a goal. Those opportunities should be taken.
When it is late in the game, have our defenders back in their defensive positions, to be on guard against an opposition breakout and counter-attack. Meanwhile, have our strikers in the box to take their chances in scoring from the corner kick. That is their job to do, after all.
Midfielders can hover by the 18 yard line, to cover counter-attacks, or move in to meet the corner kick.
Although it was from a cross, not a corner, Lewis Macleod's goal was an excellent example of a player running into the box unmarked to score.
