Having come back from the Potteries with a point that was welcome in the end (though more could perhaps have been desired), we have one more away trip on our plate before the international break, and you'd be forgiven for not expecting a lot from it. We've visited the Stadium of Light twice before under Tony Pulis, and both of those encounters resulted in 0-0 draws in which we didn't exactly display a formidable desire to threaten the Sunderland goal. Or penalty area. Or half.
Maybe third time's the charm. But still, with Sunderland as desperate for points as Stoke were last week, the chances are that we'll be looking to weather whatever storm they throw at us and seeing what we can snatch from the odd chance on the counter. Step up Chadli and Rondon: now's your time to shine.
