From Villain to Hero
Some matches are hard to sum up. This was one of those. We made a number of errors yet at the final whistle, the feeling of elation was as great as any I can remember.
Kieran Lee's performance was typical. A mixed first half with some great movement but also some carelessness. In the opening 15 minutes of the second half, he put three passes astray around our box, the third of which led to Hutchinson's red card and a Bristol City penalty. He was a villain at this stage. They missed the penalty and also picked up a red card within seconds. In the next half hour, Lee played magnificently, culminating in scoring an injury time winner.
The first half was pretty even but City got a two goal lead from two chances due to Abraham, who gave Lees a tough time.
Fletcher headed in Fessi's corner to put us back in the game. Bannan tried his luck from 30 yards and the ball squirmed in through O'Donnell's hands to bring us level. It was constant Wednesday pressure after that and in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Lee found space in the box & fired home. Cue massive celebrations.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
