This championship season is all over the place for most teams!! Brum beat Norwich 3-0, Brizzle come back to beat Villa 3-1, Village top, with the team that sold their one good player sitting second. Top six is made of of none of the relegated teams or last season's play off teams. As I said it's all over the place!!!
As regards signings, we have signed Fletcher (we all agreed that was a good signing), Abdi (4m), Pudil (2m - a signing we all wanted), Sasso (another one being called for), Buckley and Jones. That puts us up with the rest of the division in terms of numbers and ahead of most in terms of quality. It's not clicking yet, but there is no reason to think it won't. As Imre said, win our upcoming home games and everything changes.
Burnley has 19% possession, 2 on target and beat Liverpool 2-0 as well. That happens. But if you don't create the chances by simply giving up possession then you for sure won't get anywhere!!! We can all pick stats that say one thing or another, today we put in a very good first half performance with a more even second half. We did fight back when other teams would have given up and their keeper made a bunch of what were described as superb saves, as well as 2 or 3 off the line. It's not good enough on the whole, we need to get the strikers scoring but I don't get why it's all Armageddon and conspiracy theory instead of it just being a few poor performances that if we keep creating the chances could turn round very quickly??

I'm sure we'll set up for more of the same next week. Play our little possession game and be ever so disappointed that the opposition figured us out.
That was super scabby the get that in at the death, and now it's going to completely paper off the cracks in some peoples minds.
I can see it now. "AMAZING COMEBACK"
It does give me that 1-1 prediction though, so there's that. I'm callin 'em
Our little possession game produced 19 shots and 11 on target, what more do you want from that possession?? We could just let them have the ball and see how many we score doing that!! Our strikers are not scoring the chances, that's the problem.
We can go on about a lack of signings (which is not true) or turmoil in the background, maybe the FF thing unsettled the team, but we still have the players and today had the performance to get better. Today was something to build on.
Stats can be fantastic. Burton had 5 shots on target I think and scored 3 against us.
