For the women, Kristin Armstrong of USA won her 3rd Olympic Time Trial in a row at the age of 42 (she's 43 tomorrow). Cheaty McDrugCheat of Russia won the Silver Medal and the Road Race winner, Anna van der Breggen of Netherlands, was 3rd. My choice, Ellen van Dijk finished 4th after running out of road and coming to a halt during the race. The lost time was probably enough to deny her the chance of Gold.
In the Men's Time Trial, Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland ended a glorious career with his second Olympic Gold, beating my choice, Dutchman Tom Dumoulin (who rode with a broken wrist) by 47.41 seconds and Chris Froome of GB by 62.12 seconds.
Now it's on to the Track events tomorrow where GB have a great chance of a few more medals.
