Promotion is the only thing we should be interested in this season.
Heard this a lot last night and to a point I agree. Sitters were missed but Queens didn't have a go till we scored and they had a good shout for a penalty at the end of the first half....so....
However this was not a development side or a second side but apart from a couple of injured players was a team that are hopefully going to get promotion. Apart from some great dead ball striking from Keatings and neat build up play we showed some diabolical defending and poor choice and quality in the final third.
When Queens started to have a go ( after we scored.....before that they were happy to sit back) we looked more unsure ( some bizarre incidents between Laidlaw and central defenders

I thought he may have played the Birmingham midfield of Harris, Stanton, Martin and Carmichael which did well against the Blues, for this wee cup game. I know there has been speculation of Carmichael going to Queens but I thought last night as he was on the bench he must be staying......however when Cummings gets replaced by Forster ( yet another central defender

Most of these players will be in the starting line up on Saturday and fans will not have the fall back of.........its only the wee cup! Certainly a good wake up call and hopefully will see a reaction on Saturday.

You mention a stronger team 0762..........don't know about that as these are our strongest players available but perhaps a stronger / better formation????? ( McG may be fit I know)
