That's my concern, Kev.
As I said earlier, we've released a few players, including a CB and a loan CB back to their parent club. Hunt & Pudil ( if he ever signs, will be our marquee signing at this rate
) Do not have quality cover for their positions. The same for midfield.
If Bannan & Hutch, god forbid, are ruled out with 2 month injuries respectively, what impact will that have on our season, there isn't enough quality to step in to these positions.
I firmly believe last seasons squad was too thin, I'm even more of that belief currently. The starting XI looks good, but who is the impact sub? Who is almost like for like in quality should be take some injuries? Who steps in when Fessis leg gets broken and the ref red cards him at the same time?
Staying within the parameters of FFP is a must, but I also find it hard to believe that the clubs around us can continue spending and signing players at the rate they are, and not be worse off than we are?
