I concur, MS.
While I personally don't mind a bit of Golf. It's not worthy of an Olympic sport.
I think out of Softball, Golf and Karate, the event should have gone to Karate. However, Golf was part of the Olympics in 1904.
Rugby sevens is making a debut. Though Rugby Union was also part of the games in 1924.
Tennis, not only is it a game only Scotland can win for Britain. I feel it's also lacking in terms of an Olympic event.
I feel it doesn't truly reward athleticism anymore. There's more Gold's to be won playing Tennis, Table Tennis & Horse Dancing than competing in the Triathlon.
As usual I'll be happy to watch Athletics, diving and cycling among a few others like pentathlon.
