I must admit I am a little puzzled about we are heading.
Firstly we had the AI appointment which I think most of us were pretty underwhelmed about, though I think most reasonable people said let’s see how he gets on and I have to say so far, much better than expected.
We spend in excess of £15 mil on players, yet only £1.5 mil of those players, seem to be able to get into the team (Pocognoli) because AI is getting some great work out of the players he already had and the free’s.
We have a bench full of internationals, which apparently are going to have to quite rightly wait for an injury or the right opponents to get a league game. We have the top English striker in the premiership and an under 21’s squad oozing with promise.
We are playing some great football, still in the cup, yet only two points above the relegation zone, but for some reason that feels ok, like we are going to go shooting up the league any day
Now I know it is far too early to get carried away, but things do look a lot more promising than they did six months ago. I think I am going to get some cotton wool in, to deal with the nose bleeds caused by the dizzy heights of the Premiership, just in case.
The futures bright – The futures Blue and White
