You could also add to that the fact that this whole violent behavioural pattern is a male phenomenon - plying groups/gangs of hyper active male fans with alcohol and throwing them together into a highly charged atmosphere, where football stirs various emotions, incl national pride, and hey presto we have a lethal cocktail that leads to the unacceptable violent behaviour that is indeed synonymous with England and certain factions of it's fans, albeit a nasty minority!
