I remember a few years later when I started getting into footy and The Owls, My old man and his mates talking about how Wednesday should have been in Europe were it not due to another disaster involving Liverpool fans. I don't know too much about that though.

That would be the Heysel Disaster (or Riot depending on your point of view). Wednesday would have taken the last Uefa Cup place (I think it was) at the end of the season but the Scousers kicked off in the decrepit Heysel Stadium before the start of the European Cup Final against Juventus and a wall collapsed killing many Italian fans (I can't be bothered to google the number).

Never seems to get mentioned as much as some other disasters I could mention.

Sounds terrible. I've not heard of it mentioned since, the memory only surfaced in my mind as I was thinking as far back as I could to my first Wednesday memory.
I'm sure my old man threw me about in Celebration so I can count that as a promotion experience in 1984

Out of the two formations, which would be most effective for us? 352 or 532? I suppose it depends on the players to fit the permutation
