Willie Wilson!!! Now that is a well remembered Hibs goalie from the past ritchiebaby! And the famous three game Summer Cup final v Aberdeen in 1964 (?). That was the start of the Stein era and we played Real Madrid later on in a glitzy friendly and upstaged them, Puskas n all, with the great Willie Hamilton, a star man! Those were the days.
Wilson eventually replaced by Ronnie Simpson who a few years later (moved to Celtic with Stein) presented me with my first football medal - a runners up medal in a national final. I was just a lad but better times followed in years to come! Fond memories indeed!
