I just think that Pulis plays a certain way and picks players who will deliver that for him. That certain way is to play pretty narrow, have a combative midfield that will protect the defence, to give away very little and to try to score on the counterattack. Nothing wrong with the latter as Leicester have successfully deployed this all season. However, I would suggest there needs to be some creativity in all this and I'd don't see any in the players that Pulis selects. For whatever reason, Gnabry didn't feature at all, he brought Pritchard in during January and doesn't play him, he bought McManaman and doesn't play him. However, we have all bemoaned several  times when he has selected a midfield of Fletcher, Yacob, Gardner and Sandro. Beefy, you may be right and he may buy younger , creative players but there is no evidence of that. When he does acquire them, like the players mentioned above, he doesn't play them which may also indicate his ability to identify creative players is poor. As regards Lambert, you're absolutely right that he would have scored goals ten years. However, Pulis signed him last year when he was clearly past it. What makes you think something similar won't be repeated next season?
