It was Aston Villa's struggles in Division Two in the late 1960s that first attracted me to AVFC, Fred.
My first match at Villa Park was in 1970, Aston Villa 2-0 Preston North End ... in the Third Division.
I moved from London to Birmingham in 1971 to support Aston Villa and I am still here, some 20 minutes from the ground.
So kindly do not accuse me of 'glory hunting' and as I have said previously, I have been a Rangers Fan since childhood.
As for Aston Villa being 'horrific', that is entirely due to the neglect and maladministration of the Club by its incompetent 'owner', Randy Lerner.
