I don't see why an award-winning journalist who happens to be right at the top of the rangers fans world record length "List of Enemies" would for some reason decide to stir up a hornets nest by writing about a fictional interaction with a rangers director. Nor can i see why the herald let it through if it was an issue. Iit would have been forgotten about months ago but for imbeciles like chris graham.
The issue here can't be the"billy boys song" and appreciation of it from those at ibrox, because its been belted out by thousands on several occasions of late. And in the past no sanction has ever been applied in scotland. Yet no one wants to admit to singing it,liking it or that "its a great song" or tapping their foot to it...
It must be piped off some battered auld TDK-90 from the 80s.
No, the reason speirs went too far was by suggesting the board were not doing anything to challenge sectarianism,so a wee bit of financial pressure was applied to an ailing business and hey presto. Much cheaper and less difficult than legal action.
Oh and from memory spiers did dismiss the heralds apology, and the paper admitted that its apology had been undermined. He clearly endorsed his article "online".
