Silver, although Jeff Astle, Derek Kevan & Bomber were perhaps my first favourites in Bobby Hope's time, he was definitely up there with those two but hey, the whole team were my favourites !
I remember Bobby Hope requesting a transfer around the time of the 1968 cup win and him sitting on an open topped bus when they returned to Birmingham New Street and me shouting to him "Don't leave us Bobby" to which he smiled and of course, he didn't leave the club. A great visionary player with great passing ability. Without Bobby Hope, Jeff Astle and Bomber wouldn't have been as good as they were. Interesting article in the E&S
