First and foremost, lets get another win v the Rovers and that'll be a 100% positive record intact v the Kirckaldy side. I notice Falkirk play The Rangers tonight. So the Govan club could do us a favour by either 'turning over' the Bairns or drawing with them. Ideally, I'd take the draw where they both drop points. I reckon Stubbs will freshen up the Hibs team after the huge midweek commitment at the Caledonian Stadium. I've said in a previous thread that the SC quarter-final win was a huge result for us - now we use it as a spring board to drive on to better things. Fingers crossed that this will be the case. The big goalie, Virtanen, has to be given a full 1st team debut because he'll be lining up v Dundee United in the semi-final in mid April. Will this match be appropriate for the manager to slot him in or is it still too early to do this? Also most of our injured players look like their return is imminent and I certainly think this team can be strengthened with the appropriate changes!! I'd love to see El Alagui 'leading the line' v this level of opposition but his state of recovery is still currently a 'grey area' for Hibs fans - it looks like a careful, gradual process of full recovery is being applied under expert physio supervision but Stubbsy should still be opting for a front line that offers a potentially good return in goals scored. Hence I'd like to see Boyle, Keatings, Farid, Jason and Stokesy all involved in this match at some point.
PS: Stubbsy will likely return to sunny La Cala for the Easter break - to 'chill out' and review the training facilities again lol!
