The whole Villa thing is a real hoot.
It's so nice to see that arrogant twot 'Deadly Doug' Ellis with a miserable look on his face instead of his usual smarmy smirk.
I well remember his 'I'm it, you're shit' style when he was in the travel industry an example of which was when asked to wear a tie under the house rules of a 5 star Cypriot hotel restaurant some years ago, Deady's response was "Don't you know who I am ?"
You reap what you sow proverb is so true.

Miserable face? No - he loves it.
This is the man who ordered the European Cup photos to be taken down in their Trophy Room (because he had been ousted during that really successful time 75-82).
Same bloke named the old Witton End "The Doug Ellis Stand", claiming that he begged the Board not to re-name it.
He also claimed that he played Pro football, and "invented the scissor-kick"!
He appeared on his own TV adverts for his Travel Agency business (so people would nudge each other when he walked into a restaurant).
Thank Heaven for Doug! He claimed to have pretty-well won The Battle of Britain single-handedly (which he nonchalantly let us know in a 5-minute soliloquy on Radio Interview when the interviewer mentioned Bayern Munich!)
