Strange, isn't it - quite a few (me included) were pleased with the appointment of TP. Last year he kept us up when IMO we WOULD have been relegated. This year the same folk were prepared to give TP time, then more time.
Patience began to year thin, then became non existent (for me) when the starting line ups and then the atrocious 'total conceding of possession' in a few games - particularly against Villa - made it obvious that our soul as a club had gone. TP was obviously to blame, and it was obvious that he should go, if not now then at the end of the season.
However the last few teams he has picked have suddenly begun to play with skill, speed and no little passion. Do we have "OUR ALBION " back?
Can the leopard change his spots?
I'm sure that there will be several who will always be suspicious of TP, and will never be happy - almost irrespective of results - with him in charge. That's their perrogative, of course.
My opinion is that, as long as we show the same desire and skill as we have in the last few games (and also the ones in that short spell before the Villa debacle), when we've actually tried to push up and attack, I'd be very happy to have him stay.
And actually, I like the bloke!
(This appointment of a Technical Director to oversee transfers is crucial too though.)
